This eases incorporation of these challenging ingredients beyond conventional liquid or softgel capsules and into delivery formats such as hard capsules, tablets, stick packs, and sachets.
The new carrier solution, a patented food-grade silica called Syloid XDP F, was introduced this week at the Vitafoods Europe trade show by W.R. Grace & Co. (Columbia, MD). According to the company, Syloid XDP F “enables manufacturers to achieve improved blend uniformity compared to traditional mixing methods.” It also ensures that handling and downstream processing can be achieved without the need for solvents.
