The company calls TeaCrine is the world’s first and only pure, nature-identical, patent-pending theacrine on the market.
Sports nutrition–focused distributor Compound Solutions (Carlsbad, CA) is now offering a branded ingredient, TeaCrine, to sports marketers.
TeaCrine consists of theacrine, the purine alkaloid found in the leaves of the Camellia kucha plant, as well as in cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum). Calling TeaCrine a “game changer in the sports nutrition market,” Matthew Titlow, CEO, Compound Solutions, said via press release that he believes theacrine can become a bigger player in the sports industry as an alternative energy source.“In recent years, there has been a lack of innovation in the energy category, partially due to increased publicity and regulatory scrutiny regarding caffeine and other energy-boosting ingredients. With its ability to provide energy without burnout, TeaCrine is expected to have a significant market impact throughout the next decade.”
Theacrine is said to boost energy, purportedly without the energy “crash” associated with ingredients like caffeine, the company says. It calls TeaCrine is the world’s first and only pure, nature-identical, patent-pending theacrine on the market.
To further pave TeaCrine’s entrance to the sports nutrition market, Compound Solutions announced today that the ingredient is now registered with Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice as free of banned substances.
