BLIS M18, the second oral-health probiotic strain from Blis Technologies (Dunedin, NZ) and its North American distributor Stratum Nutrition (Carthage, MO), has received a “Letter of No Objection” from the U.S. FDA in responses to a filing for Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) status.
Blis Technologies previously received a Letter of No Objection GRAS response for its first, well-known oral-health probiotic strain BLIS K12. Said the companies in a press release: “GRAS status adds a new level of credibility for BLIS M18 and has the potential to open up opportunities with larger consumer food and beverage companies in the U.S., but also is recognized as a relevant and credible safety assessment by other countries and multinational companies.”
