OmniActive presents posters on dry eye disease, osteoarthritis at Nutrition 2020

In early June, OmniActive Health Technologies (Morristown, NJ) presented three posters at Nutrition 2020 Live Online on dry eye disease and osteoarthrosis (OA): 

• Efficacy of a Novel Integrated Active Herbal Formulation in Experimentally Induced Osteoarthritis Rat Model: In an animal-model study, OmniActive’s herbal formulation showed a strong protective effect against OA via its multi-modal mechanism of action. It produced significant reductions in inflammation, oxidative stress, and collagen degradation.

• Protective Effect of a Novel Highly Bioavailable Formulation of Curcumin in Experimentally Induced Osteoarthritis Rat Model: This study confirmed the efficacy of OmniAcitve’s bioavailable curcumin, Advanced UltraSOL Curcumin (AUC), on restoring joint architecture and reducing joint swelling and inflammation using a rat model of knee OA.

• Efficacy of a Novel Integrated Active Herbal Formulation in Experimentally Induced Rat Model for Dry Eye Disease: A formulation with lutein and zeaxanthin isomers was evaluated for efficacy on dry eye symptoms. Using a rat model, the formulation significantly improved tear volume, tear breakup time, and tear film integrity, while also reducing inflammation.
