OmniActive Health Technologies (Morristown, NJ) has announced a global strategic alliance with the Japan-based JXTG Nippon Oil and Energy, to jointly develop and commercialize branded carotenoid compositions. OmniActive will support its partnership with JXTG through technology platforms that include OmniBead and UltraSOL, to develop proprietary, scientifically backed delivery forms for use in different applications such as tablets, capsules, gummies, liquid, and powder mixes.
"OmniActive's strong market insights and customer relationships along with their science-driven approach and well-recognized technology platforms provide a strong entry to our nutritional products into the global market," said Akinari Nakazawa, general manager, HPM Business Planning Dept, JXTG, in a press release. JXTG's High Performance Materials Company has already made significant investments on IP-backed breakthroughs in developing non-GMO sources, including microorganisms to produce highly purified forms of different nutrients, for human and animal health, while leveraging sustainable and energy-efficient fermentation technologies.
