The line already bears organic certification from Ecocert.
DSM Nutritional Products’ (Basel, Switzerland) Alpaflor personal care ingredient portfolio has been certified natural by Natrue. The line already bears organic certification from Ecocert.
The Alpaflor line offers bioactive ingredients derived from plants that are cultivated in an organic manner, in the Swiss Alps. The company says that every product in the line has been created as part of an environmentally responsible process.
“DSM was one of the first suppliers of cosmetic ingredients to obtain Natrue certification. One of the many advantages of this certification is that it is fully recognized by USDA-accredited U.S. entity Quality Assurance International (QAI), for the fast-track certification of products complying with both the Natrue label and the U.S. NSF/ANSI 305,” says Marie-Sophie Meisinger, DSM’s global marketing manager, skin care and Alpaflor. “As a result, the Alpaflor portfolio benefits from being much more widely available to the very significant U.S. personal care market.”
