The MyKidz children’s supplement brand is relaunching its iron supplements for kids, thanks to marketer Tris Pharma, which is ramping the product’s distribution up again.
The iron supplements are touted for not having the strong metallic taste typically associated with iron supplements. The company says the supplements are based on a patent-pending, taste-neutral formula in which the iron is contained in a polymeric matrix. Additionally, the formula features a berry/banana fruit flavor. Finally, the supplements contain no artificial dyes, alcohol, or sugar.
There are three products in the line: two over-the-counter formulas (MyKidz Iron with 10 mg of elemental iron per dose plus vitamins A, C, and D; and MyKidz Iron 10, which provides a high, 15-mg iron dose) and one prescription formula, which contains 10 mg of iron and 0.25 mg of fluoride per dose.
