Jarrow’s New Skin-Health Supplement Touts Glutathione

Glutathione can play an important role in regulating melanin activation in response to sunlight, the company says.

Jarrow Formulas has introduced Skin L&P, a dietary supplement with ingredients said to reduce skin-cell damage and the associated elevated production of melanin, thereby promoting an even and bright skin appearance. The product features glutathione, vitamin C, alpha lipoic acid, tocotrienols, hydroxytyrosol, and astaxanthin.

Glutathione is a protective agent for liver and skin and can play an important role in regulating melanin activation in response to sunlight, supporting skin tone, the company says. (The product features Kohjin Co.’s glutathione.) Meanwhile, hydroxytyrosol, tocotrienols, and astaxanthin support skin tone, while alpha lipoic acid and vitamin C enhance the effects of the other ingredients.
