Jennifer Grebow, Editor-in-Chief of Nutritional Outlook magazine, interviews Heather Granato, a 30-year veteran of the natural products industry.
Heather is vice president of partnerships & sustainability in the Food EMEA division of Informa Markets. She is currently based in London and leads efforts related to industry partnerships and broader sustainability initiatives for the Vitafoods and Food Ingredients brands. Heather also serves as the founding president of Women In Nutraceuticals.
Women In Nutraceuticals is a nonprofit group created last year, spearheaded by global nutraceutical leaders whose mission is to build support for women in the nutraceuticals industry. Some of their targets include 1) helping to increase the percentage of women holding leadership roles in the C-suite and across the dietary supplement industry, 2) increasing funding for female-led businesses, and 3) increasing women’s participation in nutraceuticals research.
Heather talks about why WIN’s work is so critical and about how she and other visionaries saw a need for an industry-led organization to enact change.
