Jamieson’s once-a-day joint-support formula Collagen Glucosamine Complex provides 40 mg of UC-II, an undenatured type II collagen.
InterHealth Nutraceuticals’ (Benicia, CA) signature joint-health collagen ingredient, UC-II, is included in a new supplement from Jamieson Laboratories.
Jamieson’s once-a-day joint-support formula Collagen Glucosamine Complex provides 40 mg of UC-II, an undenatured type II collagen made and sourced in North American from chicken cartilage. The product also features glucosamine.
InterHealth says that peer-reviewed published clinical research conducted in North American has shown that just 40 mg of UC-II per day increases joint mobility, flexibility, and quality of life-twice as effectively as glucosamine-chondroitin. It says UC-II offers a unique mechanism of action that helps the body rebuild joint cartilage and restore mobility. InterHealth also says that UC-II works differently than other types of collagen because undenatured type II collagen may help trigger a series of events that slows down the secretion of joint cartilage-degrading enzymes.
“We love that the efficacious dose of UC-II is only 40 mg a day. This makes the product that much more marketable to consumers not only dealing with joint discomfort and pain, but suffering from pill fatigue as well,” said Jillian Mariani, director of brand marketing for Jamieson Laboratories.
