While full details of the results are still under wraps, the company says that its findings are positive and that they complement previous research on the ingredient and skin and joint health. What's more, the positive results come from using the ingredient in an oral format (rather than topical).
BioCell Collagen contains naturally-occurring hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, and chondroitin sulfate. The ingredient is derived from chicken sternum cartilage and is said to be quite similar to human cartilage.
Results of the new in-house study include improvements in skin hydration, wrinkle reduction, skin collagen content, and shallower skin lines. The news bodes well for BioCell Collagen in a "beauty-from-within" application.
