The Smart Baking Company (Sanford, FL), a manufacturer of gluten-free baked goods, has entered into the hemp-derived CBD space with its new product: Smartcakes Plus Hemp CBD. The product combines its original Smartcakes with 25 mg of hemp-derived CBD that has been lab-tested and third-party certified for purity and potency.
"There is a growing base of people who want to cut carbs, stay gluten-free or otherwise eat healthier," said Dave Heuvel, co-founder and vice president of sales, in a press release. "Smartcakes Plus Hemp CBD offer our customers a healthy hemp-based CBD option in this rapidly expanding market."
Smartcakes Plus Hemp CBD are gluten-free, keto-friendly, and non-GMO. They have only 38 calories, and zero sugar, as well as 4 g of protein, and 5 g of fiber in each serving. Currently, the product only comes in vanilla latte flavor, and can be purchased through the company’s website by customers who are 18 years of age or older.
