Following a recent Danish ban on parabens in baby cosmetic products, cosmetic ingredients supplier Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) has introduced Hydrolite 6, a paraben-free cosmetic product for children under the age of three.

Toxicological safety of parabens remains an ongoing global issue, but Symrise contends that Hydrolite 6 makes the use of parabens unnecessary.

The company says Hydrolite 6 has been proven to increase skin moisture, while being nearly odorless and colorless, soluble in water and cosmetic esters, and stable at extreme temperatures.

The ingredient is said to comply with cosmetic provisions in the United States, Europe, China, and Japan.
