Dairy Co-Op Agropur Acquires Main Street Ingredients

The Canadian dairy cooperative Agropur (Longueuil, QC) has announced its acquisition of Main Street Ingredients (La Crosse, WI), a company specializing in functional dairy ingredients and technical expertise.

Main Street Ingredients is also known for its branded functional ingredients, including Keystone stabilizers, Cornerstone proteins, Capstone dairy-based ingredients, and Gemstone bakery ingredients.

Main Street Ingredients will continue to operate under that name. The company’s president, Bill Schmitz, will now report to Sylvain Melancon, vice president of sales for the cheese and functional products division at Agropur.
