Cardium Introduces American Ginseng Dietary Supplement

The product uses CereBoost ginseng extract and is intended for cognitive health at all ages.

Cardium Therapeutics (San Diego) has announced plans to introduce non-prescription Cerex, a ginsenoside-based dietary supplement sourced from CereBoost, an American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) extract by Naturex Inc. (South Hackensack, NJ). The product will be part of the company’s MedPodium lifestyle brand.

At a dosage of 200 mg capsules, the dietary supplement reported increased attention, focus, and mental alertness in a placebo-controlled trial on 32 adults. The trial was published a placebo-controlled trial on 32 adults. The trial was published in the journal Psychopharmacology.
