Barentz International (Hoofddorp, The Netherlands) has acquired Natural (Verrières-en-Anjou, France), a distributor of natural, herbal, and functional ingredients for the nutraceuticals industry in France and Europe. Following its acquisition of Unipex earlier this year, Barentz says that the acquisition of Natural will significantly strengthen the company’s value-added product offering for dietary supplements, and enable further growth in key nutraceutical markets globally.
“We are very excited to welcome the Natural team onboard,” said Hidde van der Wal, CEO of Barentz, in a press release. “We are impressed with the business built by the Natural team. They are a perfect match with our qualitative portfolio, our global processes and the ESG standards we are following.”
“There is a massive synergy between the nutraceutical activities of Barentz and Natural,” added Christopher Desailly, CEO of Natural. “And moreover, we do have a great cultural click. We are excited to continue our journey, now with the additional support of Barentz’s expertise and their impressive global and regional networks.”
