The company has a host of new varietals, starting with cherry and strawberry ice cream flavors.
Because market research shows that many traditional ice cream flavors still reign supreme, Wild Flavors (Zug, Switzerland) is reintroducing tried-and-true ice cream flavors, only in fresh, new ways.
Wild’s market research led to a conclusion that strawberry is the most popular ice cream flavor in Europe. Over the years, however, it’s safe to say this flavor has remained unchanged wherever ice cream is consumed. Now, with a little ingenuity, Wild is reimagining strawberry flavor with new varieties intended to capture the nuances of fresh strawberries, green or forest strawberries, and even strawberry jam. A complementary cherry lineup features sour, sweet, black, and Amarena varietals.
There’s always something new going on with Wild’s flavors portfolio, so check in with the company. For manufacturers who are little more daring, Wild’s even introducing “twisting flavors,” which combine one flavor of ice cream with a flavor of sorbet to yield a third flavor nuance. For example, cinnamon and lime becomes cola, and apple and banana become pear.
