The company pledges to support cinnamon for three years.
Vitatech Nutritional Sciences (Tustin, CA) has pledged a three year “adoption” commitment to cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) via the American Botanical Council (ABC) (Austin, TX) Adopt-an-Herb program.
Under the Adopt-an-Herb program, adopted herbs and botanicals are included and maintained in ABC’s HerbMedPro database resource with up-to-date with scientific and clinical research articles and studies – great news for cinnamon, which has been gaining recognition for its potential benefit on blood sugar control in Type 2 diabetics and has also been the subject of adulteration concerns.
Vitatech is the eighteenth herb and plant-based ingredient company to have pledged its support to ABC’s Adopt-an-Herb Program.
