Ingredients supplier TSI Group (Missoula, MT) is now grouping itself into two divisions-Value Services and Innovation Products-each of which will focus on a specific set of ingredients. The company says that the new structure will allow for increased focus in specific areas, which it believes will result in substantial growth. Its goal is to double existing business by 2015.

The Innovation Products division, based in Missoula, MT, will provide global sales and marketing for such proprietary branded company ingredients as Peak ATP, Promilin, PromilinPro, MSV60, and Ostivone. The company’s original founding copartner, Larry Kolb, will be managing director for the Innovation Products group.

The Value Services division will be based in Shanghai and will focus on ingredients such as Pureflex glucosamine and chondroitin, GlucosaGreen non-shellfish glucosamine, Phytovone soy extracts, Opteava green tea, and Gingko 24/6/5. The group will be led by managing director David Tiffney, who has been with the company for 10 years.

“By creating these two focused divisions, we can better serve and manage the future success of our customers,” Kolb said in a press statement.

Other Changes
TSI Group is a Hong Kong-registered global researcher, developer, and manufacturer of ingredients and finished products, with offices in the United States, EU, Australia, Japan, and China. These developments come on the heels of recent acquisition activity, including the 2010 acquisition of New Products Development (NPD) Australia, a manufacturer of finished dose products for Australia and Southeast Asia. In 2011, TSI purchased Yessamin Ltd., a Norwegian contract manufacturing company with operations based in China to serve the Chinese market as well as Scandinavia. The company says it also has strategic investments in other Chinese solid-dosage manufacturing facilities in China.

“We have several finished-dose manufacturers that are now under our umbrella, and coupled with our five existing ingredient manufacturing facilities and Q/C infrastructure platform in China, TSI provides a well-established manufacturing base and total supply chain management,” said Tiffney.

Tiffney also noted that TSI can serve customers looking for a reliable Asian manufacturing partner to produce products that support brands entering the emerging Chinese market.

Finally, the company has also developed a new corporate logo and trade show booth, which will be unveiled at the upcoming Natural Products Expo West tradeshow in March.
