NutrAwards are chosen based on ingredients supported by marketability and strong science.
Carotech Inc. (Edison, NJ) reports that its Tocomin SupraBio palm tocotrienol complex is a 2012 NutrAward finalist for “Best New Ingredient.”
NutrAwards are chosen based on ingredients supported by marketability and strong science. Earlier this month, Carotech reported on findings from a clinical trial which found that 12 weeks of oral supplementation with Tocomin SupraBio provided ample distribution of tocotrienols to various tissues and vital organs.
“Tocomin SupraBio is the most bioavailable tocotrienol complex in the market that ensures an increased and consistent absorption of each individual tocotrienol (all the four tocotrienol isomers) up to 300% via oral supplementation,” said the company in a recent statement.
Tocomin SupraBio is self-affirmed GRAS.
The winner of the “Best New Ingredient” NutrAward will be announced at Nutracon, an event taking place March 7–8 in Anaheim, California.
