Tasteva will premier at Fi South America 2012.
Tate & Lyle, the ingredient solutions provider best known for PureFruit monk fruit extract and Splenda, is beginning a global rollout of a new stevia sweetener.
Called Tasteva, the new sweetener is described as having clean taste without bitter or licorice notes that are so often associated with today’s high-purity stevia solutions. According to Tate & Lyle, Tasteva can enable sugar reductions of 50% or greater in applications such as beverages and dairy products.
The company says it spent over two years analyzing different compositions of steviol glycosides-the active sweetening component of the plant.
Tasteva will debut next week at Fi South America in São Paulo, followed by a European debut in November at Hi Europe in Frankfurt, Germany. Expect more regional introductions in 2013.
