Whole-food dietary supplements marketer Standard Process Inc. (Palmyra, WI) was recently presented with Nutrition Business Journal’s (NBJ) Business Achievement Award for Investment in the Future, based on the company’s “strategic investments on several fronts-in quality raw materials, in manufacturing efficiencies, in outreach efforts to better educate the practitioner channel, and in its employees.” This marks the second time in five years that Standard Process has received the award.
“Our customers depend on us for high-quality whole-food supplements,” said Charles C. DuBois, president of Standard Process. “Receiving this award again highlights the commitment we’ve made to investing in our company and employees so that we can continuously improve and surpass our customers’ expectations."
Over the last two years, Standard Process has undergone several expansions and renovations. Its onsite childcare facility was expanded by 168%, and 12,000 sq ft were added to the main plant production area. A 10,000 sq-ft Welcome Center, built on the company’s certified-organic farm, provides more room to host educational seminars and tours for customers. Purchasing additional equipment also helped the company handle increased demand for its supplements. Standard Process dries raw materials to preserve their nutrients, and the addition of another dryer helped increase the company’s drying capabilities by 80%.
