Soy specialist Solae (St. Louis) has opened a new food applications center in Shanghai to focus on food, beverage, bakery, confectionery, and meat-product innovation, with a focus on Asian food systems.
Soy specialist Solae (St. Louis) has opened a new food applications center in Shanghai to focus on food, beverage, bakery, confectionery, and meat-product innovation, with a focus on Asian food systems. It houses a food and beverage laboratory, as well as a product analysis and sensory science laboratory, among other features, to develop items such as ready-to-drink and powdered beverages, infant and adult clinical nutritional foods, nutrition bars, and processed meats and fish products.
“This new facility is part of our long-term commitment to Asia Pacific customers that we will continue expanding our capabilities, delivering more nutritional, functional, economical, and sustainable ingredient solutions to this high-growth market,” said Torkel Rhenman, CEO of Solae.
“This new center expands Solae’s capabilities in the region, providing a dedicated resource for customers to utilize when developing products with our ingredients,” said Tony Andrew, Solae’s Asia Pacific senior sales director. He noted that the new facility would also help cut turnaround time during development.
The new facility is called the DuPont Solae Asia Food Application Center and is located within the DuPont China Research & Development Center building.
