It can mix viscous formulations, including beverages, fillings, candy, flavorings, sauces, and even thick dips such as hummus.
Charles Ross & Son Co. (Hauppauge, NY) has introduced the new Sanitary VersaMix Multi-Shaft Mixer, which the company says can mix viscous formulations, including beverages, fillings, candy, flavorings, sauces, and even thick dips such as hummus.
The mixer comprises three independently driven agitators working in tandem. Working at high speeds, the rotor/stator can perform a number of tasks, including pureeing solid ingredients, breaking down agglomerates, or preparing fine droplets in an emulsion. The low-speed anchor promotes bulk flow and uniform batch temperature, while scraping the vessel sidewalls and bottom.
The mixer’s sanitary design features stainless steel 316 wetted parts polished to 150-grit finish or higher.
