Frozen Naked Pizza now counts probiotic strain Ganeden BC30 as an ingredient used throughout its line of frozen pizza. The company says it choose this probiotic strain, from supplier Ganeden Biotech (Cleveland), because Ganeden BC30 has the ability to withstand extreme temperature changes and is backed by extensive supportive research.

Frozen Naked Pizza’s vice president of marketing Anne Zilvitis says the company markets the pizza as a way to provide customers with a healthier version of the food they love, without compromising on taste. “What better way to get your probiotics than in something that’s your favorite food-pizza,” she stated.

“It’s an exciting time in the world of probiotics-they’re not just in yogurt anymore,” added Mike Bush, Ganeden Biotech’s vice president of business development.
