Waconia, Minn., April 11, 2012-TMC Industries, Inc. announces an expansion of their contract distillation services. Their toll distillation services can separate, deodorize, decolor, concentrate, fractionate or purify fish oils, algae oils, seed oils, citrus oils, cosmeceuticals, nutraceuticals, specialty chemicals or other fragrance and flavor ingredients.  

Using short-path, thin film, high vacuum centrifugal molecular stills, TMC Industries can fractionate and concentrate virtually any oil or wax with a molecular weight over 200. TMC’s centrifugal molecular stills are superior to wiped film evaporators and other distillation techniques when processing thermally sensitive products.  The short residence time minimizes thermal decomposition and their simple design is easy to clean which reduces potential contamination. 

TMC’s distillation technique concentrates and purifies the valuable components of citrus oils such as nootkatone, valencene and sinensal, which are used in flavors and fragrances.  Distillation of seed and marine oils yield the important nutraceutical dietary supplements tocopherol (vitamin E) and Omega 3.
