OmniActive Launches Lutein for Every Age Campaign at Expo West

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of early and consistent lutein supplementation for maintaining eye health.

At the upcoming Natural Products Expo West trade show, ingredients supplier OmniActive Health Technologies (Morristown, NJ) will kick off a new education initiative called Lutein for Every Age. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of early and consistent lutein supplementation for maintaining eye health.

To help spread awareness, the company has enlisted the help of Jeffrey Anshel, OD, FAAO, president of the Ocular Nutrition Society, of which OmniActive is a platinum sponsor. “Declining eye health is something commonly associated with an aging population; however, we are seeing a new set of vision concerns emerge as a result of early and heavy use of computers and other electronic devices,” says Anshel. “The importance of educating the public at large about simple things they can do to maintain healthy vision, including lutein supplementation, cannot be understated.”

“Unfortunately, people tend to not think about their vision health until it is too late. The goal of this campaign is to help individuals understand how they can take a proactive approach to maintain vision over a lifetime through supplementation and healthy diet and lifestyle choices,” adds Sanajaya Mariwala, OmniActive’s managing director.

At its show booth, #136, the company will showcase such flagship lutein ingredients as Lutemax 2020 with enhanced levels of zeaxanthin isomers, and Lutemax free lutein and lutein esters.
