OmniActive Health Technologies (Short Hills, NJ) has developed videos and additional marketing materials to educate consumers and health professionals about the importance of supplementing with proper amounts of lutein and zeaxanthin isomers. This initiative supports the company’s Lutemax ingredient, which provides lutein and zeaxanthin isomers in a ratio naturally occurring in the eye.
“Currently, a vast majority of lutein-based supplements on the market contain very low levels of zeaxanthin,” says Hiren Doshi, vice president. “Lutemax 2020 is the only ingredient that delivers a complete source of both lutein and zeaxanthin isomers in significantly higher concentrations, for convenient and more-beneficial nutrient availability to the eyes.”
“This education initiative provides supplement companies with yet another reason to collaborate with OmniActive Health Technologies to upgrade their current eye-health offerings or develop a new line of unique products to capitalize on the growing eye-health category,” he added.
