SaviSeeds are a new product being marketed as a natural nut alternative high in omega-3 fatty acids. Sacha Inchi seeds (Plukenetia volubilis), known as the “Incan Peanut,” are grown in the rainforests of Peru and look and taste like nuts. However, the seeds offer almost three times the level of omega-3 as do walnuts, the company says-7000 mg per serving, to be exact. Each product serving also provides 8 g of protein and 20% of the recommended daily intake of fiber.
