Nutritional Outlook’s 2023 Best of the Industry Awards recognize exceptional achievements in the nutraceuticals and natural products industries in 2023.
Women play a starring role in Nutritional Outlook’s 2023 Best of the Industry Awards, which recognize exceptional achievements in the nutraceuticals and natural products industries in 2023.
Our 2023 Industry Leader award winner is Women in Nutraceuticals, the nonprofit group formed late in 2022 that took 2023 by storm. Launched by leaders in the nutraceutical industry, WIN now has approximately 450 individual members and the buy-in of many of the most prominent leaders in the nutraceuticals business. The fact that WIN has managed to recruit the participation of so many stakeholders in the nutraceuticals industry is a credit to its leaders and the group’s networking smarts. (Nutritional Outlook is just one of the industry’s media brands producing content in support of WIN.) WIN’s mission to increase female participation and leadership in the nutraceuticals industry was immediately embraced because, as in so many other industries, women are underrepresented in the C-suite and in upper management. WIN aims to change that, and based on what the organization has achieved in just a year, we have every faith the group is making a difference.
The winner of our 2023 Service Provider award is also advocating for women—this time on the retail shelf. GenM is a group that created a marketing symbol indicating if a product on the retail shelf is menopause-friendly. GenM is not only making a difference by helping women locate products that can support, ease, or relieve menopause symptoms, but is also taking the taboo out of menopause by calling out menopause needs directly on product packaging for all to see.
Our final 2023 Best of the Industry award winner, in the category of Ingredient Supplier, is PLT Health Solutions, a company that announced a whopping five branded-ingredient clinical studies this year. These studies stand out for many reasons. Some used, for the first time, advanced imaging techniques like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Other studies were done in underrepresented populations, such as the company’s Nutricog cognitive-health study performed on younger adults.
What’s clear about this year’s winners is that these groups are not satisfied with the status quo. Whether it’s through new research, retail tools, or by uncovering gaps in industry leadership, each of our 2023 winners is making a difference. Join us in congratulating all of our 2023 Best of the Industry winners!
