Due to growing demand, NOW Foods has opened a second U.S. manufacturing facility, located in Sparks, NV. The company, which already has a manufacturing facility in Bloomingdale, IL, added the new manufacturing facility at the Sparks location, which has housed the firm’s Western distribution facility for almost a decade.
The new Sparks manufacturing facility provides 165,000 sq ft and adds manufacturing capabilities, including for softgels. The company, which broke ground on the Sparks facility, in 2011, initially planned to open the facility in 2014 but due to high demand has accelerated the facility’s opening and is now manufacturing out of it.
Like the company’s Bloomingdale facility, the Sparks facility will maintain on-site laboratories that include two high-performance liquid chromatographs and two gas chromatographs. The new facility also maintains the company’s sustainability standard and has received LLED Silver Certification.
