VeriSym SL is a new mid-volume optical tablet-inspection system by Symetix (Walla Walla, WA). Ideal for smaller manufacturers and contract packagers, the single-lane system can inspect up to 500,000 soft gel capsules or tablets per hour, verifying product color, size, and shape, and removing defects and foreign capsules and tablets from the product stream.
Symetix says the system is cost-effective. It offers the same capabilities as the company’s original two-lane, full-capacity VeriSym inspection system the company introduced in 2009, but with only half the maximum capacity.
