Maxx Performance has joined the Green Palm Sustainability Project.
Maxx Performance (Roanoke, VA) has joined the Green Palm Sustainability Project to support the sustainability of the company’s microencapsulation business.
Maxx Performance provides microencapsulation services for a variety of needs and ingredients, many which require the use of palm oil.
Endorsed by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), the Green Palm Sustainability Project aims to answer environmental and social problems surrounding palm oil and palm kernel production via regulating plantations, mills, and the standards used by individual countries.
“Our customers will be pleased to know that for every ton of palm oil and palm kernel oil we use in the production of microencapsulates, we’ve paid a voluntary premium to a palm oil producer who is certified as operating within the RSPO’s strict guidelines for social and environmental responsibility,” said Maxx Performance president Winston Samuels. “We’re proud to join the ranks of Nestle, Kraft and Wal-Mart in supporting sustainability and making a tremendously positive impact on our industry.”
