Kemin has earned Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) for food ingredients manufactured at its facility in Herentals, Belgium. While the certification was not required of Kemin, it provides extra value for Kemin customers.
FSSC 22000 is a certification scheme recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative. Based on ISO standards, FSSC 22000 is intended for the process or manufacture of animal products, perishable vegetable products, products with long shelf life, other food ingredients like additives and vitamins, and food packaging materials.
