InterHealth’s Zychrome Wins NutrAward for Best New Ingredient

Article

InterHealth says preliminary clinical research has shown that Zychrome is two times more effective than chromium picolinate in supporting insulin function.

Zychrome, a proprietary chromium ingredient from InterHealth Nutraceuticals (Benicia, CA), was named best new ingredient by the Nutracon conference’s NutrAward program. The award was presented during the Nutracon conference, held in March in conjunction with the Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA.

InterHealth says preliminary clinical research has shown that Zychrome is two times more effective than chromium picolinate in supporting insulin function. According to the company’s director of R&D, James Lugo, PhD, “The blood sugar health market has not seen anything new in over 20 years. Zychrome will reinvigorate this market as the next generation in chromium supplementation.”

The Nutracon Awards also declared a best new finished-product winner, Portobello Mushroom Powder by Dole Nutrition Institute.
