Huber Engineering Materials (Atlanta) has announced plans to expand its Quincy, Illinois plant for increased production of calcium carbonate granulation.
Upon completion in the second quarter of 2012, the expansion will bring Huber’s output of calcium carbonate granulation to 10,000 metric tons per year.
Huber provides calcium carbonate ingredients to the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical markets through manufacturing facilities in Quincy and Modesto, California. The company claims to be the only supplier of both calcium carbonate granulation and powder.
