In 2013, Cargill's stevia sweetener will be available throughout North America.
Cargill (Minneapolis) has reached an agreement with Grupo Herdez to distribute and market Truvia stevia throughout Mexico.
Cargill has already developed a market for its stevia sweetener in the United States. The announcement with Grupo Herdez, in addition to Canada’s recent approval of stevia for foods and beverages, means Truvia will be available throughout North America. The branded sweetener can be found as a tabletop sweetener and in numerous big-name products, including Glaceau’s VitaminWater Zero, select Smucker’s Sugar Free Jams, and Kraft’s Crystal Light Pure beverage mix.
