Gold Coast Ingredients (Commerce, CA) launched a vegan, all-natural smoked gouda flavor as an alternative to cheese flavors such as cheddar, white cheddar, and nacho cheese. The dairy-free, all-natural flavor is available in powder and liquid forms. According to Gold Cost, the smoked gouda flavor fits well into bakery products, including breads, crackers, bagels, and more; into snack foods such as meats, chips, dried beans, and chips; or as an ingredient to spice up dips, sauces, and other vegan products.
“This flavor was developed to fuel the vegan cheese trend, giving vegan consumers a greater selection of flavor profiles for dairy-free cheese substitutes,” said Megan Byrnes, marketing manager at Gold Coast Ingredients. “Our applications team first tested the Smoked Gouda Flavor in vegan cheese, and then explored how the flavor paired with bakery and snack applications.
