As it enters the functional foods arena, raw material and finished product supplier Gnosis S.p.A (Desio, Italy) has obtained Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification for its manufacturing facility in Pisticci, Italy.
While Gnosis performed the check on a voluntary basis, the company says its certification is in line with upcoming regulatory trends required of functional food applications. Gnosis is also in the process of completing projects for halal and kosher certification.
