GNC Holdings inc. has agreed to acquire online nutritional supplement retailer LuckyVitamin.com. GNC says that its website, www.gnc.com, will continue to operate separately from LuckyVitamin.com.
“LuckyVitamin.com is a true Internet pioneer in the health and wellness industry and has built a strong online brand and business as a discount retailer,” stated GNC’s president and CEO Joe Fortunato. He said that the acquisition would allow GNC to strengthen its presence in e-commerce and broaden its customer reach.
Founded in 2004, LuckyVitamin.com generated $40 million in revenue in the past year.
