Fortitech Appoints Malaysia General Manager

Nutrient fortification and custom premix specialist Fortitech Inc. (Schenectady, NY) has appointed Brian Scutt general manager for its Malaysia facility. Scutt reports to Fortitech CEO Walter S. Borisenok and is charged with overseeing operations, including manufacturing, technical aspects, purchasing, finance, and sales for the Asia Pacific region.

Scutt most recently worked as specialty nutrition director for nutrition firm Gold Coin Group, helping to facilitate the company’s entry into the China market. His past experience also includes working for DSM as general manager and managing director, respectively, for the company’s operations in Vietnam and Australia; as division manager for vitamins and fine chemicals at Hoffmann-La Roche in Vietnam; and as manager of the technical department for Bayer Vietnam’s animal health division.

“[Scutt’s] extensive experience in managing international operations and distribution networks, specifically in Asia, accompanied with his solid track record for developing new markets will greatly enhance our efforts to serve our customers and expand our business in this growing region of the world,” said Borisenok in a press release.
