Firms Partner to Develop Nutritional Products for Cancer Care

Pharmaceutical group Helsinn Group (Lugano, Switzerland) has made a minority investment in Thorne Research Inc., a manufacturer of nutritional supplements marketed through healthcare practitioners. The companies will develop dietary supplements to support the unique needs of cancer patients.
“We believe there is a clear need for high-quality, clinically specific nutrition products for conditions related to cancer,” stated Riccardo Braglia, CEO of Helsinn Group.
In addition to nutritional supplements, the partnership will focus on developing medical information and “supportive services” for healthcare professionals and their patients.
