The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry will take place September 18–21 at the Montage Deer Valley resort in Park City, UT.
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN; Washington, DC) announced that Daniel Fabricant, PhD, director of FDA’s Division of Dietary Supplement Programs, will be the keynote speaker at the association’s upcoming conference in September.
The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry will take place September 18–21 at the Montage Deer Valley resort in Park City, UT.
CRN says Fabricant will discuss FDA’s regulatory priorities regarding dietary supplements. Attendees will be able to ask Fabricant about how the industry is doing in terms of Good Manufacturing Practices, the agency’s progress in implementing the Food Safety Modernization Act, and the status of the agency’s New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) draft guidance.
“It’s critical that industry has a chance to foster a strong and productive dialogue with our regulators, and we are sure that Dr. Fabricant’s presentation will provide attendees with critical insights to help them best understand the current regulatory landscape,” said Steve Mister, CRN’s president and CEO, in a press release. “We also appreciate the agency’s willingness to listen to any industry concerns.”
CRN’s The Conference happens concurrently with The Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science, happening September 18 at the same venue. The Day of Science brings together top scientific experts to speak about dietary supplement and nutrition science.
