After obtaining certification from the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Supply Chain Certification Standard (MSPO SCCS) in June of 2019, ExcelVite (Edison, NJ) immediately got to work identifying gaps that needed to be bridged in order to achieve RSPO Supply Chain Certification. Now, following a successful audit by SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia), ExcelVite has obtained the RSPO Supply Chain Certificate.
The significance of this new certification is that it has worldwide recognition while the MSPO SCCS is the nationally recognized standard that aligns with Malaysian law. “As a leading PIC/S GMP-certified palm phytonutrient producer, we are proud to achieve RSPO-SC certification that underscores our commitment in sustainability responsibilities while providing high quality products to our customers worldwide,” said YT Chan, senior QA manager and head of sustainability committee at ExcelVite, in a press release. “With strong commitment from the management, we hope to do more for the local environment, with positive social and economic impact to local smallholders in Malaysia.”
“Our Sustainability Initiative put in place a few years ago has beared fruits. We will continue to promote the awareness of certified-sustainable palm oil to our existing and potential customers with the aim to support them as they, with the peace of mind, continue to use ExcelVite’s branded flagship products - EVNol and EVNol SupraBio (patented & bioenhanced full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex) as well as EVTene (natural palm mixed carotene complex),” said WH Leong, CEO, ExcelVite, in a press release.
