Marroquin Organic International (Santa Cruz, CA) has added USDA-certified, organic, non-GMO erythritol to its zero-calorie sweetener offerings. Derived from corn, the sugar alcohol is non-allergenic and non-glycemic and provides 60%-70% the sweetness of sucrose.
The zero-calorie sweetener can work synergistically with other sweeteners to enhance beverages, confectioneries, baked goods, toothpaste, gum, dog biscuits, cosmetics, and nutraceuticals.
