Customers will now be able to validate the quality and stability of the company’s krill products over time and under accelerated conditions.
Enzymotec (Israel), a multinational supplier of lipid-based products and solutions, has announced the availability of a new stability test for its krill oil products.
Customers will now be able to validate the quality and stability of the company’s krill products over time and under accelerated conditions, says Eyal Afergan, a member of the company’s process development team.
“That simple test measures krill oil complex susceptibility to oxidation and allows comparing between different sources of krill if necessary,” says Afergan.
In another effort to improve quality assurance of its krill oil products, the company recently announced that its data sheets will now state levels of tri methyl amine and total volatile nitrogen, two compounds that can affect freshness of krill products.
