Danisco (Copenhagen) has announced that it will expand production of LCI (live culture inoculant) cultures for the Chinese dairy and dietary supplement markets. The company says it has purchased a food processing plant near Beijing to accommodate Chinese customers. That plant should be ready by next fall.
“China is already a significant market for our YO-MIX fresh dairy cultures,” said Danisco BioActives president Fabienne Saadane-Oaks. “In addition, this new facility also will support our HOWARU probiotics production for dietary supplements, food, and beverages.”
