The association has hired Jim Griffiths as its newest vice president of scientific and international affairs.
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN; Washington, DC) has named Jim Griffiths, PhD, as its vice president of scientific and international affairs, effective immediately.
Griffiths spent his previous five years working for the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), where he was in charge of overseeing the Food Chemicals Codex, the Dietary Supplement Compendium, and the National Formulary. He previously served as a regulatory review toxicologist for FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, and a scientific or regulatory expert for the Flavor & Extract Manufacturer’s Association, International Specialty Products, Avon Products, and Burdock and Associates.
“[Griffiths] will bring to CRN a renewed and collaborative focus on international affairs, and we expect his expertise will positively affect regulatory and nutrition policy globally,” said Steve Mister, president and CEO of CRN.
