Company Presents Mushroom Product for Vitamin D

At last week’s Institute of Food Technology food expo in New Orleans, Total Nutraceutical Solutions Inc. (TNS; Stevenson, WA) introduced Ergo-D2, a mushroom-based whole food ingredient intended to boost vitamin D levels.

TNS CEO Marvin S. Hausman, MD, says the ingredient is formulated with a patented technology that “naturally enhances powerful bionutrients and antioxidants, such as L-ergothioneine and vitamin D2…”

A presentation detailing the activity and efficacy of the ingredient in clinical models was given at IFT.
