Omevital liquid omega-3 fatty acids from Cognis (Monheim, Germany) taste great, according to the International Taste & Quality Institute (ITQI). The ingredient won ITQI’s Superior Taste Award this year, in the health and diet products category.
Cognis, now part of BASF, says that highly pure Omevital oils have an excellent sensory profile that make them easy to integrate in a number of food formulations, without compromising taste or smell. They can be used in milk products, spreads, and other fat-based products.
